A Contested Region is zone both the Exiles and Dominion are fighting for control over. This is usually because of some sort of environmental hazard, or a third party like the Lopp or Protostar controlling most of the area. These areas are:
- Whitevale - The freezing temperatures and the Lopp's persistent neutrality make it difficult for either faction to advance further. Both sides have reinforced their bases, resulting in a perpetual stalemate.
- Farside
- Wilderrun
- Malgrave
- Western Grimvault
- Southern Grimvault
- Blighthaven
- The Defile
