Server:Entity (previously Caretaker)

Crib name: Tsukikyo

What was the inspiration for your crib?

I'm a proud Exile and a proud Human, but my family, for generations, has had traditional housing that... well... I wasn't sure I was ever going to see again! I wanted to recreate the feeling of being home, and the ancestral Dojo of my family. I scrounged together all of the best research I could find about that architecture (famous temples and dojos) and did what we Exiles do: make the most of what we have! I hope anyone visiting can get a sense of my home and culture.

What was the hardest part of making your home?

Well... Three things come to mind. The FabKit I had made a large Granok house... And I'm no Granok! So, I worked hard to create an inner and outer shell over the FabKit's shell. I had to work very hard to cover everything! Not that I don't appreciate Granok culture... It's just, you know, I'm soft. Not rock.
Second, I had to create curved and arching structures with planks! It was a lot of mathy science, or sciencey math, I can't remember. But I'm very proud of the roofing and tiling!
Finally... It was all about re purposing. When a decor item is advertised as a metal privacy screen... I do some reconstructive reticulated transbiggenating, and BOOM! Its a wall! It was hard, but fun.

What item or plot were/are you most looking forward to getting?

I can't wait to try out the new Customization Station. Purely for research purposes, of course. Nothing to do with shopping or fashion or color coordinating or anything! Research. PhD stuff.

Of all the Decor items or FabKits you have seen or used, what is your favorite?

My guildmate and good friend, Yahman, gave me a Zen Garden FabKit.... I can't explain how overjoyed I was to receive it... I had one just like it at home, and remember my family taking care of it.
Though I'm grateful for their usefulness, I'm pretty sick of "Metal Planks." Tsukikyo has close to one hundred of 'em and I placed them all by hand!

If you could have one item in your house or on your plot that you have NOT seen, what would it be?

Its been a while since I have seen a shower, or smelled a human who had one. Maybe selecting a Granok house wasn't smart. Granok don't sweat. Anyone who wants to check it out, please come on over! If you're Dominion, fly on by.
